INGRAHAM, Bill (Iggy) Bill_Ingraham@excite.com "...Just want to comment that as a "Blackshoe" attached to the VP Navy (I was a PN), VP-22, NAS Barbers Point, Hawaii, and VP-5, NAS Jacksonville, Florida, was the greatest tour of duties a blackshoe could be part of. The Blue Geese of VP-22 matured me from an 18 year old boot with our deployments to NAS Cubi Point, Philippines and NAF Kadena, Okinawa, Japan to a ripe Petty Officer to VP-5 at NAS Jacksonville, Florida with yet deployments to NAS Sigonella, Sicily, and unfortunately shore duty came up before NAS Keflavik, Iceland. You Aviation raters were the best goup of guys to be around and will always remember the R & R flights I got to fly. P-3 Orions are the coolest aircraft I've ever been associated with and great memories will always be with me..." WebSite: http://www.militaryplus.com/ [E-Mail/URL Updated 21DEC2001 | 17JUN99]

INGRAM, AZ1(AW) Cecil Retired cecil_ingram@hotmail.com "...I had the pleasure to serve in VP-22 twice, May 1975 to June 1978, and February 1982 to May 1985. Most of my career was in the P-3 community starting with Weather Reconn Squadron Four (VW-4) February 1973 to April 1975, VP-22 May 1975 to June 1978, NAS Atsugi, Japan July 1978 to January 1982, VP-22 February 1982 to May 1985, CPW-11 MMFA June 1985 to March 1989, and USS Saratoga (CV-60) June 1989 to January 1993 my retirement. During the time that I was in the "Blue Goose" squadron. I met a lot of good friends and to this day I remember the good and crazy times that we had on deployment. Most of you won't know of the tail of the "Broccoli Marauders" of the 1975 NAF Kadena, Okinawa, Japan deployment what a time that was and works display that we put on for the Air Farce when we were leaving. I have a hard time telling these stories to the Navy people that I work with today. Never again will there be such a group of true professionals and party animals in one command. So any of you old "Blue Geese" want to talk about the good old days drop me a line. "THE BLUE GEESE LEAD THE WAY"!..." [03FEB2000]

INGRAM, ACW3 Jeff R. jingram@sanantonio.gov "...I was in about the 2nd or 3rd to last ACW classes at Glynco in the summer of 1960. I was in AEWBarRonPac from October 1960 to August 1961 (took the last ACW3 test at Midway) and in VW-11 from October 1961 until my discharge in April 1963. Like most I didn't realize how important the memories of NAS Argentia, Newfoundland, Canada, NAS Keflavik, Iceland and Scotland would be with time. I remember 'Blue Star' in Newfoundland and the '40 pounders' and 'Brenevin' in Keflavik. I've enjoyed this site and others on the 'Super Connie". It is rather sad to see what NAS Argentia, Newfoundland, Canada looks like now. I've hooked up with a guy I flew with in 1962 through these sites. I flew with CDR Bear and LCDR Pounds. To go to Scotland again (and be 20 again - couldn't handle it at 61)!..." [04APR2003]
