A BIT OF HISTORY: "...These are pictures of a VP-64 P-3 flying out of Kinloss Scotland in a Blue and Gold exercise in the North Atlantic. Chuck Eddleman and I were flying as replacement SS1/SS2 along with VP-64 Crew 7 flying with Crew 11. The Skipper of the Dutch sub caught here professed in our pre-exercise brief that he would tell us his boat capabilities "because we will never find him". We jumped him inside a rain squall when he came to periscope depth. The Skipper never came back to the post-exercise debrief, but I managed to get these pictures from his crew. The pictures are copyrighted..." Contributed by Ken Stepanuk stepanuk@rbcinc.com [08DEC2006]
