Made the final cruises of both the USS Wasp and the USS Intrepid and onto the USS Saratoga. We locked the doors when we left NAS Quonset Point, Rhode Island and on to NAS Cecil Field, Jacksonville, Florida. I was dragged kicking and screaming off the Sara in '76 while on a Med cruise because I received orders to RTC Great Lakes for duty as a Company Commander for 3 years. I was assigned to VP-23 in late 1979. I caught up with the Seahawks on deployment in NAS Keflavik, Iceland. Served for a while as the Line CPO and then was picked up for local instuctor duty TAD to CPWL.
